Luca Vergari Coaching a Cairns Basketball Representative Teams
Cairns Basketball is excited to announce that after an extensive search, the new General Manager will be Luca Vergari.
Luca grew up playing and later coaching basketball at Cairns Basketball, so he should be no stranger to most people in the association. Luca has a Bachelor of Business (Sports Management & Marketing) and a Graduate Diploma Secondary Education from Griffith University on the Gold Coast.
Apart from his long involvement with Cairns Basketball Luca has held teaching positions and has been the owner/manager of a café. Consequently, the Management Committee felt he had the overall experience and education to cope with the demands of the role of General Manager.
Following the departure of Graham Burns from the General Manager role, Luca will commence in his role with Cairns Basketball on 11 September when he returns from a short holiday in Europe.
We congratulate Luca on his appointment and look forward to his commencement with Cairns Basketball.
