On behalf of Cairns Basketball, I’m proud to share our 2026–2029 Strategic Plan with our entire community.
Firstly, I would like to acknowledge the leadership and commitment of our CBI Board (Management Committee), whose vision and guidance have shaped this plan. Importantly, this strategy has also been informed by the valuable feedback of our members, families and stakeholders. We have listened, reflected and used that input to help guide the future direction of CBI.
This plan is built around a simple but powerful vision to be the standard for success and inclusivity in basketball. It reflects our commitment to creating an environment where everyone can grow, develop and belong, from our youngest beginners to our elite athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers. Over the next three years, we will focus on strengthening participation pathways, enhancing the experience for members and families, supporting the development of coaches and referees, maintaining strong governance, and advocating for improved facilities that serve our growing community.
