Cairns Basketball Inc. (CBI) has been a basketball association since 1958 and has occupied the current site on the corner of Aumuller and Gatton Streets since the early 1960’s.

CBI runs basketball competitions for all age groups, and skill levels from Under 10’s to Master’s for both males and females. The association also competes in representative basketball with teams competing in Under 12, Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 boy’s and girl’s competitions as well as men’s and women’s NBL1 North (the State League that underpins the NBL and WNBL).

The Queensland Government is supporting Cairns Basketball through the Minor Infrastructure Program with funding to replace the floor on Court 1 of our stadium.

JUNIOR REPRESENTATIVE BASKETBALL

Cairns Basketball participates in the Basketball Queensland representative competitions. Teams are selected from young basketball players who compete in the Cairns Basketball junior competitions.
